The Decision

Hello people! It’s the holiday seasons and most of you are probably away on long vacations already. But if you do get a chance to drop by my site (in which case you are reading this entry!), I’d like to announce my decision on blogging. That is whether to blog on both existing blogs (this current one and my blogger blog) or just focusing on one (since both practically have the same niche). So here it:

I’ve decided to go solo on this - meaning I shall once and for all leave my old blog behind (except maybe to do PPP articles - that PPP thought just entered my mind). Other than that I am burying my head deep into AzrinaAznan.com (heck it has my name on it all-over!). This blog is now officially both my personal and professional blog. It just feels right that way (also for my readers’ convenience so you wouldn’t have to be flipping back and forth between my two blogs).

I’ve also decided to share with all of you my past, present and probably future success/achievements. I’ll be adding a new page for that soon. This is like a tribute to myself as well as to others who have helped me achieve those small (?) victories.

Phew! I’m glad I got all that written down. I’ve been mulling over it since last night and each time what Brian Tracy mentioned in one of his lectures kept playing in my head:

“You have to be all that you are. No one is better than you. You are unique. What you are is special. Never try to be different from who you are. Be the very best of you that you can be..”

Ok, so he may have not said it in the above sequence (that’s just me shortening and rearranging it so that it sounds like he’s speaking directly at me!) but you get the message. I’ve realized that when I started out with this blog, I’ve been really cautious and too meticulous about what I should write. And all that just cramped my writing. So I’m just going to let it loose and at the same time hopefully make my blog more readable and attractive (?). Hmm.. I’m going to need to spread the news about my new blog url (not that I have a huge fan base or anything like that - but hopefully I will in time to come - it’s nice to have your works recognized. In this case my writing. But I’m not pleading for recognition either. (why am I talking in brackets?)).

Therefor, if you’re my existing friend or you want to get acquainted with me, by all means please, do link your blog/website to mine. I shall be doing my best to provide my people readers with valuable and worthwhile reading material. Thanks everyone!!

I’m Trying For a USB Memory Watch

It’s the festive seasons and I’ve noticed many sites holding generous giveaway competitions. Gobala is doing one such giveaway. His offerings: SIX Crazy Christmas Gifts! Geeky gifts if you ask me (hehehe).. but really, they’re kinda cool! Something my hubby would love. So I’m aiming for the USB Memory Watch. Would make a fabulous holiday gift for hubby too since he’s old watch has gotten terribly worn and unwearable (he’s still sentimental about it and doesn’t look like he’s getting a new one soon).

Ok, so my point in promoting is so that all you people would hurry on over to http://www.easywordpress.com/labs/christmas-gifts-contest/ to win these awesome, loony, crazy prizes!! Just go for it (time limited)!!

Problem No More

Johnny Wimbrey in one of his motivational talks advises that we shouldn’t be sharing our problems with other people. Because the more we talk about it and focus on it, the bigger it’ll become. Instead, when faced with one, we should confront our problems ourselves and speak to our problem. Or another way is to tell God about it through our prayers.

I’ve read that to be successful, you yourself must be bigger than your problems. That way you will regard challenges as opportunities. I really like this concept. And it works too.

Previously we are used to hearing people say, ‘Let out your problems. Talk to me about it..’ and doing that is supposed to relieve us of the burden. But in my opinion, I just think that by doing so you’re passing that matter to another person. Our emotions, our words, our thoughts are energy. Feed yourself with good energy and vibration, affect others with it, and more will return to you. And the same goes with negative energies, it just creates a cycle. Unless one really needs professional help, we shouldn’t be drowning others with our negativities. However, I must admit, that some people are more than willing to hear your sob story and sympathize with it only to share with you their so-called even bigger problems. And yeah, in the media world, sensational stories (break-ups, divorces, killings, tragedies etc.) sell like hot cakes. So what does that tell you about the masses?

These days, I try to fill my mind with affirmative thoughts. For that reason, I no longer wish to indulge in emotional blogging. Even though I must say it did alot to attract readers to my blog (and I must thank my readers for their kind words and thoughts), these days I wish to provide my readers with valuable reading material so that they can profit from it too. I hope you will all support me with my mission that is to make this world a better place through personal development.

Life-long Learning With Success University

I watched a DVD yesterday recorded from last year’s Success University (SU)’s Leadership Summit. The energy vibrating in that seminar room was obvious even from the video. SU members of all ranks gathered there (US) from all over the world, with Singaporeans representing the Southeast Asian region. As I watched, I thought to myself, wouldn’t it be great if our team from Malaysia could be there too..

Yes. That’s right, we now have a SU Malaysia team founded by Zamri Nanyan. I have mentioned it before in my Personal blog, but I want to repeat it here again. We have SU members from Malaysia now. And it’s one of those achievements that will allow our people to shine in the eyes of the world! But being a member alone would do us no good if we each didn’t take the necessary actions to ensure that other Malaysians too will take an interest in pursuing life long learning in the form of personal development.

During his motivational talk at the Summit, Johnny Wimbrey mentions about how it is more desirable to be a producer rather than a procrastinator. He goes on to explaining the differences but I’ll only point out a few here.

Producers are winners/the victors, while procrastinators are whiners/victims. Producers have winning mentalities and principles, while producers go about with their stinking thinking (negative thoughts).

Ok.. just another one,

producers are willing to be mentored, while procrastinators lack the value for advice.

Ok, (I can’t resist adding) last one,

producers are students for life (constantly hunger for more knowledge), while procrastinators only question life (and do nothing about it).

I, Azrina Aznan, choose to be a producer.

Technorati

Ok, this is pretty procedural. I am claiming this blog for technorati too! Technorati Profile

The True Calling

I have been reading up on Wordpress and it’s wonderful functions. I am finally starting to understand how it actually works. Not that I’m new to blogging as I’ve blogged with blogger.com for quite a while now and have gotten quite used to it. As with anything new, it is only natural to feel uncomfortable at first. But the more you work it, the more skilled you become.

The same also applies to internet marketing.

Let’s say you’ve just hopped on board a fantastic internet marketing opportunity. Take Success University for instance. You’re excited about this great personal development program which you know will benefit others as much as yourself. You can’t wait to get started so you dive in head on. You learn everything you can about your business from your mentor and other leaders.

After awhile you decide you’re ready as ever to promote your product. You begin by emailing everyone on your mailing list. You’ve already started a blog to share about what you’ve learned so far. You wait for any positive response to come through. Meanwhile, you follow your mentor’s guideline every chance you get (during those free hours as you are still working full time). You have people interested and most just want to think it over first. You think, not everyone recognises a golden opportunity when they see one. And if they do, not everyone jumps at it immediately.

Next, you try promoting your product offline eventhough your program already promotes fantastically online. You take out your list of prospects. Where to begin? A friend walks into your room, and you think ‘this is my chance’. You zoom in on him, words coming out slowly at first but then you grow more animated as you express your passion. Your friend however response to all this by giving you a shrug. Says he’s can’t afford to commit to such program as of now and makes his exit. You feel slightly dejected. But you don’t give up hope.

You decide you owe it to your friends to spread the words about your amazing program. You realise that if you don’t share it with everyone, oneday, when you’ve made it big and developed yourself into someone successful through your business, there are going to be friends who will ask you why you didn’t let them in on the life changing opportunity. You don’t want to let them down. So you persevere.

You begin to discover alot about yourself through your business: skills that you never knew you had, the joy of belonging to a dynamic team, your ability to lead your team to success… On certain days you may feel overworked and slow down abit. On other days you may feel a surge of energy and you charge straight on.

Before you know it, you’re already a Success University Ambassador. You rejoice in your heightened success through the constant effort you put in. You’ve managed to build your team and train many to achieve the success just as you have. You think, if I can do this, so can anyone. And if everyone can do it, then everyone would be successful, happy and rich! What a wonderful place this world would be!!

If that person I just described is YOU. Then click on your YOUR TRUE CALLING to begin!

Of Cows and Rhinos

My parents and I have often debated on the issue of work and financial security. My parents’ idea of an ideal life is to study hard, get good results, find a good secure job, then work hard, rise in ranks and lastly retire and live on your pensions (all of which I’ve done except for the retiring part - I’m still young!). I’m sure nothing of what I’ve said is new to most of you.

I adore my folks and they have done a great job raising me for which I am thankful for. They’ve also managed to built a pretty comfortable lifestyle from my father’s secure earnings. However, from what I’ve learned, being comfortable won’t guarantee you financial freedom if that’s ever your goal. I for one am no expert in this field, for now. However, I have recently developed an insatiable desire for knowledge on wealth creation and because of that, I am calling this month “my month of wealth creation read” (and anything in between for that matter eg. money management, finance, investement etc). On the same note, I was actually surfing the internet for more materials to read on managing money when I came across a pretty informative blog by a local (Malaysian) blogger. I shall be putting him in my blogroll. From his blog I can tell he knows alot about finance. But more about this mystery blogger later.

This month I managed to read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv Eker in just one week (haha..nothing to brag about right? But I still consider it an accomplishment seemingly that I only get the opportunity to read in between other pressing commitments - son, work, family, internet marketing..). Those great people who read my former blog would know that I can’t stop raving about that particular book. It is so jam-packed with fabulous millionaire mind tips!! I shall be reading it over and over again at least once a month until the whole concept registers in my mind - my thoughts become my words, my words become my actions, and my actions become my results - who I am or who I become.

Ohh.. yes.. back to what I had in mind initially when I started writing today’s entry..of Cows and Rhinos..

Just before going-home-time today, I listened to an audio CD on Murphy’s Committee. It’s one of those valuable CDs/DVDs I’d gotten from my Success University premium member package (yeah..yeah.. it took me that long to get a chance to listen to it). The contents of this audio is truly fantastic. I must say I love the concept brought about by the author. It’s a bit like a theory which goes something like this:

We basically are either a rhino or a cow (not animal personality again! - you say;p) in nature. In life, there is paradise waiting for us on the otherside of the jungle. While cows prefer to graze in the field and be safe, secure and comfortable, rhinos on the other hand prefer braving the jungle courageously as their mission is to reach to the other side that is paradise. From this simple concept, I am sure you can clearly detect two deferring personalities/mentalities. A cow likes to play it safe, would not venture out and practically leads a boring life. Rhinos have the will power to strive and will go after their dreams no matter what the challenges that lies ahead. Rhinos will in the end come out the champions. I would consider myself a young rhino in the making. What about you?
