Interest in Success University

I’ve been getting quite a few healthy enquiries about Success University lately. It’s a good sign showing that more and more people are interested enough to find out more about the program. And they’re doing their homework which I encourage. Afterall why invest in a program you have no interest in just for the sake of trying to make more money, right?

I also noticed that these people wrote in to me for a more human and personal touch. I can understand where their coming from. There is a need to be understood and taken care of that is core to human nature.

 These days where most online business are automated, personal correspondence is often being replaced by autoresponders and templates or standard responses to a client’s/customer’s/prospect’s question. It’s actually a smart move by the people in this industry. It saves time and your answers are delivered fast and accurate. It’s one beautiful way of ensuring that your business goes to work eventhough you’re out for a break.

This is actually RK’s definition of a business - a system that can be worked successfully without your presence.

People new or just venturing into this internet business/marketing industry must seek to understand this.

Despite an autoresponder email starting out with a ‘Dear (your name),’ it is often seen as impersonal unless it is the first time you’re receiving an email of this sort. However, if it’s contents provide you with value in form of new useful knowledge, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind receiving it. It’s a bit like reading a newsletter, but a more personalised newsletter with your name on it.

In an effort to provide more friendly service to prospective members, I’m thinking of setting up a community blog. We can pose questions there or decide on a theme to blog about each day in our own blogs (themes can range from SU marketing success tips to the best lessons we’ve learnt from our SU courses).

But doing that would not exactly be duplicating the system from my upline. But who’s to say you have to do the exact same thing to produce good results? Afterall, don’t you want to produce better results? So doing extra and going the extra mile can help you do just that (that’s me talking to myself).

At the moment I am thankful to my sifu for we have a very useful forum to participate in. It is from that platform that I launched into this business. But now I must become a leader to create more leaders in my team. It is part of the journey to achieving success in this business. And to think that we can do it all online.

What’s great about Success University is that it focuses on personal development. Each and every one of our members must have something that they are good at. It is that particular area of expertise that we want to enhance on and develop into a niche they can blog about while still being relevant to personal development. No matter what field you’re working, studying or are interested in, Success University’s program will always prove to be useful.

Develop yourself to develop your dreams and realise your goals.

Goals Review March

Two months have passed and it’s time for me to review my goals again for the year. The purpose of doing this review is for me to see how much I’ve achieved in the previous two months. Let me just go through my list:

1. Success University Program:

I’ve slowed down on it’s promotion a bit though I know many more people can benefit from the program. My main goal for SU is ofcourse to earn recurring income from it. The program alone is great and the monthly newsletters and cds/dvds keep me motivated. As for enrollment, I’ve managed to enroll a few prospects however I am still in the process of finding the right people to pass on the knowledge to. By that I’m referring to people who are really serious about succeeding and acquiring riches with the program. I guess it all points back to me in the sense of how far I myself am willing to go to advance in ranks. This needs more working on. I need to find passion in Success University (right now my mind is on the postgraduate program I’m eyeing at Brunel University) and reconnect myself to it.

2. Financial Goals

I have managed to keep track of my daily spending in my diary. I find tracking purchases and expenses help keep it under control. I find myself buying only necessities and even when I eat out, I tend to seek the cheapest eateries/food stalls. Reading Alan Corey’s experience to become a millionaire by the age of 30 is pretty inspiring. Although his ideas are more suited to those who are still single, his drive to save money and earn more has made me wanting to do the same. I’ve also been devouring various other books on finance, wealth creation and investment. I find them rather addictive and will keep on reading books in this category for the rest of the year to increase my financial knowledge (thus putting me in the right path to financial freedom). I can already see how I’m going to fund our new home and still be able to invest in unit trusts (managed to find good agent). I have also already bought insurance and still have some amount in savings which I will need to top up.

3. Blog for WAHMs

My dreams of becoming a work-at-home-mom is still undergoing progress. I had intended to come up with an ebook on interviews with successful Malaysian WAHMs to find inspiration from them and for others. Have to start working on this. So far I’ve managed to interview Sandra Rocco of Miabambina.

4. Becoming an Independent Certified Instructor for BabySigns(Malaysia)

It’s another income earning opportunity I recently found. I’ve actually been wanting to be certified as an early childhood instructor since last year. At first I thought maybe hypnobirthing would be a good niche (though that’s not early childhood). But then babysigns came along and since my son is still at the right age to teach baby sign language, I am thinking, why not? (Yeah, SaiF - Why not me right?;)) It’s double opportunity for me to teach my son the useful skill and earn extra teaching others. So I recently returned my completed application for this and now I have an interview with Jamie of BabySignsMalaysia. Now that’s rather exciting :)

5. Plans to further my masters degree abroad

I have finally decided on a program (anthropology of education) and university. This will be finalised after I attend the UK Education fair end of this month. I’ll be able to meet up with my chosen university’s representatives and get to find out more on the program. Also still keeping a look out on the scholarship offer.

Wow, it looks like I have alot to focus on already other then my day job which I am still dedicatedly working on. I realised that I just reviewed my goals based on my written goals for last year and not the new goal I set out for this year. But it hasn’t changed much and I am progressing a bit with baby-steps.

Phew! This was good exercise to keep my momentum going. I’m glad I did it. Sharing it with others only puts me in action mode since I will surely only want to report back positive outcomes. To quote from SaiF of SaiF Improvement, here’s to Constant And Never-ending Improvement (CANI)!

On Overcoming Procrastination

I just finished composing a rather lengthy response to a comment posted by one of my valued reader. I’ve decided to post it here as well for easy reading.

Hi there Fauzi!

First of all I’d like to welcome you to my site and also congratulate you on your interest in PD and PF:) That’s a great first step! You mentioned to me about procrastinating and how to go about overcoming it. I’m no expert in this matter but when I read your question, the first thing that entered my mind is ‘procrastination caused by lack of inspiration and motivation’. From the materials that I’ve read, you need a strong enough WHY behind your purpose/goals/intention to make you want to take action. So if I may I ask you Fauzi, have you found your ‘Why(s)’?

For example, if your goals were to pay off all your credit card debts, ask yourself why you want to be doing this. How would realizing that goal benefit you? What kind of pain would you associate with not achieving your goal. It could be that being in debt would cause you to have to work for a lifetime, even after retirement.

Another way is to envision your end goal in mind. Really feel the joy of receiving it, having it, living it. Do this this every day. Imagine the end results vividly. When you do this the law of attraction works by sending out signals, signs and providing you with opportunities. But you must act on it to bring you closer to your goals. How fast you get there would depend on your ability to take notice and take actions.

As for hypnotizing someone to help him/her achieve his/her personal goals, you would have to refer to other experts in that particular field.

I would suggest you start a blog about your goals to share with others. Blog daily about your progress. When you find other people reading on your quest and cheering you on, you surely would not want to let them down. So that in itself will be your personal motivation to keep moving, taking it one step at a time until you reach your destination. Or you could find a mentor who will assign you specific tasks which you must complete and report back.

That’s just my take on this matter. Hope it can help you in any way. Feel free to comment. You can always email me however I appreciate you sharing your views here as it could help others who are in similar position.

Take care! Cheers:)

The Cashflow Quadrant

I recently bought three books using MPH vouchers I redeemed from my credit card reward program. Those books are: Rich Dad’s Cashflow Quadrant (Robert Kiyosaki), The One Minute Millionaire (Mark Victor Hansen & Robert Allen), and How to Become a Property Millionaire (Azizi Ali). At first I thought of starting with the One Minute Millionaire but due to small printing (my fault for not opening the sealed book before purchasing) I was a bit put off and chose Rich Dad’s instead. A very easy read. The ideas laid out are simple but it really gets me thinking. I’ve been wanting to play the cashflow game for quite some time. They have a ‘millionaire’s club’ nearby our place where you pay a small fee to play this game. Having read a quater of the actual book, I now have a rough idea about what to expect from the game and the lesson’s I’ll be able to learn from it.

Basically the cashflow quadrant shows us just where our cash is coming from - left side consists of being an employee (E) and being self-employed (S), the right side consists of business (B) and investment (I). Simply said, according to Rich Dad, to become rich your cash must come from the right side of the quadrant (business or investment or both). Because the majority of us are on the left side, this book shows us the steps to take to get to the other side of the quadrant even while still being able to operate from the left. I hope that makes sense.

I am currently in the E quadrant. I hope to be able to also get into the I quadrant soon. And eventually the B quadrant. People in the S quadrant are thought to have the toughest time. Being self-employed means that you are working in your own business.It’s means that you are your own boss. But it also means that you play multiple roles as a manager, marketer, accountant, etc. It’s pretty much a one man show. Sure you may be driven by passion at doing what you truly love at first. But with being self-employed your income depends on how hard you work. When you slow down or decide to take a break, your business suffers.

People in the B quadrant on the other hand create an efficient system that will allow other people to work the system for them. The beauty in creating a system that’s run by others is that you get to take time off and return to find your business further blossoming and making more profits. In the I quadrant you make profit too by making money work hard for you. Both the I and B quadrant ofcourse requires you to have good financial knowledge - something that are not taught in schools.

It is also very much possible for an E to also be an I to acquire financial freedom. You need to have investment knowledge for that. So for me, that’s what I’m trying to do. Working at learning whatever I can to in this area to become financially free.

I’ve been thinking about whether joining Success University makes me a B person. SU definitely has a system (that’s already being laid out for you). But are the founder of SU the only ones in the B quadrant (since they’re the one who came up with the system)? Or are they, through the system also helping others become a B by adapting their system and making financial gains through it? I have to ask Zamri Nanyan about this. Hopefully he can drop by my blog anytime soon.

Quotes From Dr. Stan Harris

I listened to a replay of our Success University faculty call today. The speaker this time around was Dr. Stan Harris a.k.a. Dr. Breakthrough. Definitely a great kick start call for the new year! This guy has so many great, motivational quotes in him and he presents them in such a vibrant, energetic manner it totally effects you in a positive way.

As Matt Morris, founder of Success University says, “a mind once expanded will never return to it’s exact form.” So here are some uplifting quotes from Dr. Stan that I’d like to share with you:

“There is a way and I will find it. If not I will invent it!”

“I said I was the greatest a long time before I believed it.”

“Faith is…

“Every master was once a mess. Therefore, every mess can one day become a master. A mess becomes a master when it gets a mentor.”

“Hope is a well founded, well grounded expectation of the future.”

“It is attitude, not aptitude that determines your altitude.”

MBA = Massive Bank Accounts! :D

“Learn to believe your beliefs and doubt your doubts.”

“When you visualise and verbalise, you will actualise.”

“We were not born winners. We were not born losers. But we were born choosers and you can choose if you want to.”

“What you put in your head and allow in your heart, will determine what comes to your hand.”

“Focus is…

Winning Contests and Goals Update

Blogging-Ads held a ‘one heck of a giveaway contest’ early last month and which just ended recently. Guess what? I won!! I still can’t believe it (you might want to check out their website for prize details and to enter more similar contests in the future)! To Mike Huang of blogging-ads, thank you so much again!! You’re doing so much to help new bloggers get the necessary exposure. I totally respect you and admire you for that:)

So far I’ve won 3 contests this year (online and offline) and it’s only the beginning:) May not seem like much. Still I feel truly blessed!

*******************************************************************************************

Other than that, let’s just say I’ve made a few alterations in my goals of owning my dream home. I have a second more achievable dream home now. It’s located much closer and I’ll actually be able to purchase it within this year (possibly towards the end)! It’s not as ambitious as my first dream home but the location is more strategic (golden triangle - near place of work, relatives, city, shopping centres, medical centres etc.), great neighbourhood, modern design, gated community, with beautiful landscape in the making (parks, jogging tracks - hubby’s fave). Isn’t that great!?

As for pursuing an MBA, I’ve recently requested for brochures from a University in London which looks like the best option for now. I still have to sit for the GMAT I think. Have to find out more about this from those in the know.

Work wise, I shall be seeing an increase in income by the end of this month (or possibly before Chinese New Year). Hopefully the same will apply to my online income.

I’ve also started reading Personal Money (this month being my second purchase - I may have considered subscribing if I hadn’t already subscribed to Forbes Asia), a finance magazine which was recommended by KCLau. This month’s issue covers a few topics of my personal interest namingly - selling your home yourself, investing abroad and on buying unit trusts.

Alright, that’s all the update for today! Catch ya later:)

Essential Laws of Successful Leadership

I listened to an amazing, mind-blowing audio cd today about the Essential Laws of Successful Leadership by Guy Finley. Finley just presented to me a totally new perspective of leadership. I’ll never look at leadership in the same way again.

When I first received that audio cd from Success University, I looked at the title and told myself that I didn’t want to hear a boring lecture on leadership. Why would I want to become a leader-leader? But after listening intently to the whole lecture, I decided that I have to become a leader - A leader to my own self (that is, before I lead others)! Because if I don’t lead myself I’ll become a follower. And as a follower, I’ll never a achieve the freedom I’ve set as my ultimate goal.

According to Finley, the reason why everyone lists down being successful, rich etc. as a goal they want to achieve is because what they truly, ultimately want is freedom. Freedom of not being under someone else’s control. Freedom to be able to lead the life they wish, to be able to do the things they truly desire.

In order to achieve that freedom, we need to become our own leaders. Finley lists down 5 Actions (to take) To A Whole New You:-

Action 1: CHOOSE and be done with it - Make a decision (a goal you truly want to achieve, to do what it is that you love, following your mission in life) and don’t look back.

Action 2: ACT on it while putting all your doubts behind you (your doubts are formed from what you’ve experienced in the past. By listening to your past, you allow yourself to become a follower. Break free from it. Be in the moment and you are leading). Take the necessary steps to get closer to your goals.

Action 3: REALISE what you have done and accept responsibility for your actions. Only true leaders take responsibilities for their actions no matter what the outcome. Only true leaders are willing to make mistakes and learn from it - these are lessons that will lead them to their liberty/freedom - their goals.

Action 4: RELEASE - continually release what it is that you see (all negative thoughts, doubts and fear. Being fearful will never lead you to achieving true freedom).

Action 5: START OVER - find relationship with the moment itself. Meeting the moment is an act of purity and clarity. Live in the moment while making plans for the future.

It’s that simple. I can start now! And so can you!! Here’s to a better today and tomorrow:)

My Goals Put Into Motion

Today’s such a cheerful happy day! Thanks to my boss for giving me a fantastic report! It’s a great feeling to be appreciated for all your hard work (smartly done so it was practically a breeze);) On days like these, I love my job. And I’m going to learn to love it more for the next 12 years or so.

People, I finally have my life planned out. It’s kinda comical in way.. It was just a few days ago that my life path was unclear despite the many goals I’ve set. However, just yesterday, I got it all sorted. It’s a wonderful feeling. Like a burden being lifted. I longer have to wander around listlessly searching for the perfect destiny. I now know which path I want to take. It’s got alot to do with the list I made in my previous post. And more than just that.

Yesterday, I’ve finally found a way to align my goals with my husband’s. I laid down both our goals side by side and made a time line of when we expect to achieve it. Prior to that, I’d discussed with my husband my idea and he totally agreed with it, saying that it’s all he ever wanted. When I found my real dreams/passion desire/goals, my husband found his too. It’s crystal clear now. We know exactly what we want to achieve. We’ve aligned our dreams with each other! Now this is real love;)

Another great discovery is that I’ve managed to will my ideal home into existence. God knows how I did it. I’ve been envisioning a particular house using the architect of my mind. I’ve been thinking of it day and night for several months already since I last read ‘The Secret’. And then just yesterday, BAM! It appeared out of cyberspace and starred me right in the face!! It was there on one of our local property directory! A not so new project in Damansara. My dream home revealed to me in motion!! They have a visual tour of the actual house. You probably won’t believe me if I say this but it’s true, the house is every bit as I imagined it to be - in layout, rooms, staircase everything! It sent shivers up my spine ( a pleasurable one ofcourse). This is the law of attraction unfolding before my eyes. Although it took several months to make an appearance, it finally did in life colour! I’m just ecstatic about it!! I’m itching to paste the link here but I just don’t want to ruin this personal moment for me. Next step is to actually having it firmly in my grasp. You wouldn’t believe it’s cost! But achievable if my mind says so.. phew!

Have a brilliant day everyone!!

Attracting What You Desire

I am taking the cue from Raymond of http://attractingyourgoals.com/ on using the power of attraction to attract what I desire in life. Today, I just want to list down a few (specific) things that I’d like to attract (these are only the few I’m willing to share):

  1. 5 brilliant SU protege (my own);
  2. A female yoga teacher for free yoga classes;
  3. My ideal home;
  4. An  MBA from Waseda University (my good friend Payjal gave me this idea so I’m contemplating it!);
  5.  A chance to serve at our Malaysian Students’ Department in New Zealand or UK (this after after returning from Japan);
  6. My ideal car;
  7. For my marriage to be happier and more blissful;
  8. A martial arts skill (extremely useful);
  9. Retiring young and rich (at the age of 40 - too old? hmm. I might just be able to do it way earlier, God-willing)!

Heheh… btw. I’ve made a few changes to my new year goals. Didn’t think I’d have to so early on in the year. But that’s the best thing about having flexible goals. You get to change them to suit your current needs. That’s why it’s called a SMART goal!
